ABOUT MRS. VILLARREAL:

“I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become.” ~Carl Jung

My primary approach in practice is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Gestalt Therapy. I believe our reactions to situations are modeled by our thoughts and emotions. By allowing ourselves to restructure our thoughts and emotions, we are able to approach life with a different perspective that is beneficial to a creating a better self. We are able to focus on the present and the changes that we need to make for a better future. Each person is unique, therefore my approach is to personalize and tailor a plan with you to address your specific needs and goals.

I believe that therapy can be a valuable tool. I understand the importance of creating a safe environment where you can explore how building on your strengths can help you repair past hurt to move forward.
